The owner’s room, who is particular about sound, was renovated into a hotel.
In the 1950s, the best sound was heard in a theater. This Altec room was created with the idea of bringing that sound to the home.
The interior was designed with consideration given to sound resonance rather than hotel design, resulting in a unique room that uses sound-absorbing panels from Daiken Corporation, a leading manufacturer of acoustic building materials, and Tsuga wood, which has excellent resonance, throughout. Tsuga belongs to the pine family and is a valuable building material used as a sacred tree at shrines. It is said to be acoustically excellent because of its hardness and strength.

3D music room ( to “see” the sound)
3D music room provides you secret stories of music as this room was constructed with full care so that everything can play the utmost sound. It has ALTEC 1568A vacuum tube amplifiers of Altec Lansing Inc. made in 1957 in the United States of America, and for an output, it has loudspeakers of Altec which used to be in a theatre in the United States in the 1960s. We paid attention to the details to set them in the best condition. Sounding boards on the front and side walls absorb and spread the sound very well. The shape of the ceiling and louver boards are for stretch of the sound. Thinking about reverberation, one of our thorough care was to choose Japanese hemlock as timbers. When you are listening to music sitting on the sofa, you will “see” performers clearly in front of you as if they were playing live music for you. It is the very 3D sound that you would feel the sound spreding around you clearly and you would “see” the sound at any moment. You can experience the moment as if you were at a concert, the warmth of the music, and even artists breathing. Please bring your favourite CDs with you.
